| Camps and Tours |
From a year level focus to curriculum relevance, camps at Kambrya College offer students experiential learning and the opportunity to collaborate and acquire new skills. Trips to Central Australia or Tasmania, Exchange tours to Germany and Japan. Outdoor Education Camps, Leadership Camp, Forest Edge Camp at year 7, Ski trips, Study Camps and the Great Victorian Bike Ride see students stretch themselves socially, physically and mentally by meeting new people, trying new things like public speaking on Leadership camp, the high ropes course or flying fox at Forest Edge, challenging learning on Study camp in Year 12 – and the list goes on. All such experiences enhance the fabric of learning and inject an appreciation of the real to the theory. |
YEAR 7 (FOREST EDGE):
The Year 7 team will have the opportunity of participating in a variety of valuable learning experiences at Forest Edge over a four day period. Participants will have the opportunity to further develop the relationships that they have forged with their peers and teachers during the first half of the year. It will promote the development of social life skills in a setting that puts learning into context.

YEAR 8 (TASMANIA):
Our Year 8 students are fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to the Apple Isle visiting the sights of Tasmania, such as Port Arthur, the Cadbury Factory.

YEAR 10 (CENTRAL AUSTRALIA):
To introduce Year 10 students to the wonders of the Australian Outback. To nurture their knowledge of the diversity of the Australian landscape and broaden their knowledge of the Australian history. The trip also aims to cement the bond and team working skills of the students in preparation for their final years of their schooling at Kambrya College.

YEAR 12 (STUDY CAMP – LORD SOMERS):
The Study Camp is a 3 day long camp designed to help year 12’s prepare for their final year of secondary schooling. While the exams themselves are still months after the camp, a key to success in the VCE is working consistently thorough out the year. Other key aspects of the camp will be relationship development between staff and students, stress management & relaxation, time management skills among other important skills.
